Wacka wacka - It's time for Africa. Africa proved it. Long under the shadows of apartheid, they have come out of the shackles and proved what they are capable of by hosting the FIFA 2010. A job well done.
Balle balle - Now it's time for India. We are hosting the Commonwealth Games in October. It is a matter of great pride. It is a beginning of an exciting journey where India is going to be at the International limelight. It was always my dream to see India host games as big as CWG.
It is time for India to take inspiration from Africa and host the CWG. New Delhi is getting ready for the big day, but lot of questions are raised over the completion the project. Will the stadiums be ready? Will we be able to provide world class infrastructure - training stadiums? These are difficult questions to answer. To add to this, there are serious allegations of corruption. But spare a thought for M S Gill, who took over the sports ministry whose annual budget is just Rs.450 Cr and has made a huge progress.
For now, I just want to see the games to become a huge success. I salute the spirit of people in Delhi for their tremendous display of patience. I am a proud Indian . We have shown the world that we are capable of successfully hosting CWG and we will surely able to host Olympics one day. Indians also love other sports, it's just not cricket.

Do your bit
It's now official - A government school at every kilo metre across the country. A huge step towards providing primary education to the kids who are the future of a developing nation. It might take a while to implement this. But at least, Mr. Kapil Sibal has taken this huge step.
There are still 38000 crore people in India who are below the poverty line of which 10% earn just Rs. 2 per day. A mass revolution is required to make people
understand how much education is important. We need people to send their children to a school and not to a cracker factory.
I request everyone to do their bit. Please sponsor at least a child's education. We were fortunate to get good education . We should thank God for that.
I am doing my bit by sponsoring a child. Are you doing your bit?

Will Justice be done?
For the first time in 8 years there seems to be some hope in the 2002 Gujarat riot case. SIT headed by RK Raghavan has summoned Narendra Modi to depose in connection with a complaint of Zakia Jaffery. But the big question is - will Narendra Bhai Modi be convicted if proved guilty for his role in the worst ever riots that Gujarat has ever witnessed. Only time will say.
Time will say if the evidence against him will be good enough to prove him guilty. In the court of People's Perception he might be a criminal, but what matters is the Court of law where all that matters is the evidence. And will the Apex court have the courage to convict Modi if proven guilty or will it be just another story like the Babri Masjid where justice is still pending ? Just wait and watch.

New F1 Season - 2010 - A New challenge
Formula One is back again. Every time F1 comes up with something new and refreshing. FIA makes the game a lot more competitive every year. I remember the days where a race was won on sheer car performance and less based on a drivers' ability. Things have changed a lot now. Every team now has an equal opportunity to win a race.
This time pit stops are going to be really interesting and quick- No re-fuelling allowed. It will be nice to see pit stops of just 2.5 seconds - only new tyres will go in. FIA has also made the point system more flexible. The gap between the winner and the runner up will be 7 points. (25 - 18 - 15.... )
Nice to see Michael back, but I don't see him making a big impact. No Kimi which makes the season boring. But I have also pointed out in my previous posting - "I see a lot of Kimi in Vettel" .. It is going to be a close season between Vettel and Alonso.
My pick - Sebastian Vettel, till Kimi returns.
